|Rep. Gray joined other citizens and officials for the ceremonial lighting of the World War Two-era Tower 3 at Delaware Seashore State Park recently.
Tower 3 is one of the landmark concrete fire towers used at Fort Miles as part of a coastal defense network that safeguarded the Delaware Bay and Delaware River. Lights surrounding the tower painted it cobalt blue - the same color as the lighting on the nearby Indian River Inlet Bridge.
The work is part of the an ongoing restoration partnership between the Fort Miles Historical Association, the Delaware Seashore Preservation Foundation, and the Delaware Division of Parks & Recreation.
